With more than 1000 licensed clients, MJ Platform has been the trusted partner to scores of cannabis businesses. We’ve seen business at all levels of operation and performance, and that experience inspired us to officially launch an operational expertise service in 2015. Since then, I have travelled to 41 cannabis operations in 24 cities and 2 countries to help grows, extraction facilities and dispensaries/collectives implement the most efficient workflow and software setup. With simple changes, businesses can find solutions to ongoing challenges, increase their revenue, and reduce costs.
Look how simple it can be: During a recent trip to a Butane Hash Oil factory, we implemented barcode scanning of cannabis trim and cut the inventory tracking process down from 10 minutes to 30 seconds. I once visited a cultivation that was under construction and the client showed me to the drying and packaging room. The problem: cannabis dries in the dark so it’s difficult to package in a dark room and a bad idea to dry in a room with light. After pointing that out, the client separated the rooms and added a window to the packaging room.
For myself and the whole MJ Platform team, it’s always about doing the right thing and being part of the solution. I am grateful to serve this incredible industry and make friends along the way. And when I am not saving a cannabis business from inefficiency, I’m watching the Cubs or University of Michigan football.
