Mantra: Question everything

Method of consumption: Edibles

Q: What’s the one thing every business owner should know before joining the cannabis industry?
A: Question everything and be humble. There is a TON of knowledge available. Since marijuana has been behind closed doors for so long, people have ‘figured stuff out on their own’. Much of this great knowledge has made its way into the industry in standardization, but lots of junk has slipped through as well. One of the most difficult things at the beginning is separating the gems from the garbage. No one person can possibly know or do everything, so alignment with an entity that has experience, wide reach, and a diverse set of skills is key.

Q: What sets MJ Platform’s consultants apart from the rest?
A: We live the industry through our work and personal lives. We don’t have a single person that claims to know everything, rather we have years of experience across a diverse team of industry operators, ranging from past cultivators to extraction artists to storefront managers. In addition, MJ Platform’s reach and experience over the last six years has allowed us to hire experts, for every business model and workflow within the cannabis industry.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: I have remained active since my Division 1 track and field days, but I have since found new activities that I really enjoy, like climbing. I also casually practice yoga, which is a nice combination between my past Tae Kwon Do experience and meditation.

Q: Favorite activity after consuming?
A: I enjoy slow and relaxing activities that require some level of perception like yoga, meditation, or interacting with friends.
